When using Venmo - please send a follow-up email to thequeercollab.ec@gmail.com if you would like a tax-exempt donation receipt. You will need to include your Venmo Username, your legal name, your address, your phone and your email. You will receive a generated tax receipt via email once this is manual input into the system. Thank you.
** Venmo does charge for Charity Donations - 1.9% + $.30 per transaction.

This donation platform is Zeffy. If you scan the QR code it will take you there on your mobile device, you can also click the QR code and be taken to the page as well. Zeffy processes all donations completely free of charge - they do not charge The Queer Collaborative nor do they charge the donor (they do ask if you’d like to donate the fee, but it is not required). This will also automatically send you a donation receipt to your email once the transaction is processed.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes, generally if your donation is under $250 you can use a bank statement to prove donation. If it exceeds $250 then you need the tax receipt to submit with your itemized deductions for your tax return.

  • Donations are used for programming, event cost/planning and overall general funds. General funds would include cost for the website, the domain, accounting software, any license renewals or other items that wouldn’t fall directly into a programming or event cost/planning tier.
