Money stuff can feel overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to. Join us for a practical, judgment-free budgeting class led by our own Board Treasurer, Kelly Suckerman, Branch Manager at Associated Bank.
Kelly will walk through how to build a budget that actually fits your life: tracking where your money goes, setting realistic goals, planning for the unexpected, and making room for the things that matter to you. Whether you’re starting from scratch or just want a fresh approach, you’ll leave with tools you can put to work right away.
Bring your questions. No financial experience needed, and all are welcome.
Walk & Talk
Join us for a relaxed fall walk at Hoffman Hills State Recreation Area just outside Menomonie, where rolling hills, hardwood forest, and open prairie put on a full show of autumn color this time of year.
We’ll take it at an easy pace with plenty of time to stop, take photos, and actually breathe in that crisp fall air. It’s a great way to get outside, meet some new folks, or catch up with familiar faces before winter settles in. Wear comfy shoes, dress for the weather, and bring a friend.
Q-FEST Film Screening: The Dads
Join us for a screening of The Dads, a documentary from director Luchina Fisher about fathers showing up for their transgender and nonbinary kids. It opens on a weekend fishing trip, where a group of dads from very different backgrounds, including Dennis Shepard, father of Matthew Shepard, swap stories by the water and around the fire. What brings them together is simple: they love their kids, they worry about their safety, and they’re ready to fight for them.
Honest, tender, and quietly powerful, it’s a look at fatherhood, brotherhood, and what real allyship looks like at home.

Scam texts, phishing emails, fake calls from “your bank.” Fraud is everywhere, and it keeps getting harder to spot. Join us for a practical class on protecting yourself, led by our own Board Treasurer, Kelly Suckerman, Branch Manager at Associated Bank.
Kelly will cover the most common scams going around right now, the red flags to watch for, simple ways to lock down your accounts and personal information, and exactly what to do if something goes wrong. You’ll walk away more confident and a lot harder to fool.
Bring your questions and your stories. No experience needed, and all are welcome.
Drag Me Out - Season 2
Some of the Chippewa Valley’s most recognizable faces are trading their everyday look for wigs, heels, and full drag, all for a good cause. For one night only, local “Icons” get dragged up by the talented performers who call this place home, then hit the stage to raise money for the community.
Hosted by Khloe Wold and Jem Stone, with performances from local drag artists, Drag Me Out brings big laughs, bigger personalities, and plenty of camp. Every ticket sold supports The Queer Collaborative in offering programming and resources for queer adults, and every tip the Icons collect goes to The Andrew Cray Higher Education Fund.

Join us on Sunday, November 1st for a frightfully fabulous affair where glamour meets ghouls! The Queens are serving up sultry scares and dazzling drama in a brunch experience like no other—it’s spooky, it’s sparkly, and it’s the only Halloween brunch where sequins meet screams. These Queens know how to work a room (and a broomstick)!
THE LINE-UP: Khloe Wold, Amber Hudson, Barbara Suprema, Nova Riotea, and Sapphire, with special guest Elizabeth Burley and a special performance by Rosetta Cooki!
Enjoy delicious brunch from our scratch kitchen, sip on hauntingly good cocktails, and prepare to howl with delight. Costumes are highly encouraged, so come dressed to impress (or distress)!

Ghouls, ghosts, and gorgeous queens are taking over the stage. Our Halloween Drag Show brings the spooky, the campy, and the downright fabulous for a night of haunting looks and killer performances.
Come in costume, bring your scariest friends, and get ready to scream (for the queens, mostly). Tips are always welcome and the Halloween spirit is mandatory.
UAC Film Screening: Rocky Horror Picture Show
It's just a jump to the left... you know the rest. Join us for a screening of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, the 1975 cult classic that's been packing late-night theaters for 50 years. When squeaky-clean couple Brad and Janet break down on a stormy night, they find shelter at the castle of Dr. Frank-N-Furter, and things get very weird, very fast.
Campy, chaotic, and gloriously queer, Rocky Horror has been a home for misfits and a gateway to self-expression for generations. First-timers and longtime fans are equally welcome. Costumes encouraged, fishnets optional, shouting at the screen expected.

The GSRC will also be holding a costume contest during the event! To participate, show up in your best costume 30 minutes early to the showing. Contest winners will be announces at the end of the film!
Q-FEST Film Screening: Time Warp
Join us for a screening of Time Warp, a documentary about putting on The Rocky Horror Picture Show in one of the most conservative corners of the country. In the small mining town of Rock Springs, Wyoming, 25-year-old Kenny Starling starts the first drag and queer theater company in town, and the debut show is a Rocky Horror shadow cast. The film follows the troupe through exhausting rehearsals, thrift store costume hunts, pushback from the community, and the pure thrill of finally taking the stage.
It's a big-hearted story about small-town queer joy, and the kind of people who show up for each other anyway. Fresh off a special jury mention at the 2026 Tribeca Festival.

Q-FEST Film Screening: Black Burns Fast
Join us for a screening of Black Burns Fast, the debut feature from South African filmmaker Sandulela Asanda. Set at a strict all-girls boarding school, it follows Luthando, a bookish scholarship student whose carefully planned life gets thrown off course when a magnetic new girl arrives. Funny, dreamy, and full of video-game-style daydreams, it's a Black lesbian love story that skips the trauma and goes all in on joy.
Fresh off a festival run that included the Berlinale and closing night of BFI Flare, this one is a rare chance to catch it on a big screen in Eau Claire.

Walk & Talk
Slow down and soak in the season with us. We're taking an easy, relaxed walk through Carson Park to enjoy the fall colors! Crunchy leaves, crisp air, and good company. No pace to keep up with and no fitness level required. Just come and wander with us.

There will be flowers available to build your own bouquet, however many fit in one hand, for just $10. If you are unable to pay $10, don’t worry, we got you. Everyone deserves fresh flowers once and a while !
